What internal auditor training covers

Internal auditing is first-party auditing: your organisation checking itself. An internal auditor course teaches you to audit against the requirements of the standard and against your own documented processes, then report findings in a way that drives correction and improvement rather than defensiveness.

Course content typically covers the clause-by-clause requirements of the standard, the internal audit requirements the standard itself sets, audit planning and checklists, evidence gathering by interview and observation, writing nonconformities with a clear requirement-evidence-conclusion structure, and following up corrective action.

The technique follows ISO 19011 guidance, scaled to internal audit practice.
